RI(MxS) lines
Recombinant inbred lines were developed by the single seed descent method from an F2 population of a cross between TK780 (max parent) and B01167 (soja parent) in Hokkaido University. The max parent possesses a determinate habit, tawny pubescence, and large and yellow seed. The soja parent is a pureline selection from a wild population near Saru River, Hokkaido, and possesses an indeterminate and twinning habit, tawny pubescence, small and black compressed seed.
A total of 282 markers have been mapped in the RIL population, and QTL analyses for agronomical traits have been carried out.
