About Legume Base - Lotus japonicus

Lotus japonicus is a perennial wild legume with such characteristics as small genome size and short life cycle, that make this plant an ideal model plant of crop legumes including soybean. The National BioResource Project (NBRP) LegumeBase is aiming to support research activities through distribution of Lotus japonicus research resources.

In this database <Legume Base - Lotus japonicus > , the user can select an appropriate strain by searching the data.

Following strains are currently available in the database.

  • Experimental Strain (Experimental Strain)  3 strain

  • Wild Accessions (Japanese Wild Accession)  108 strain

  • LjMG RI lines (Recombinant inbred lines of crosses between
Miyakojima MG-20 and Gifu B-129)
 205 strain

  • Mutant lines (EMS-treated mutants)  171 strain

  • M.loti STM mutant (Mesorhyzobium loti STM mutant)  6671 clone

  • BAC clone ( Miyakojima MG-20 )  10839 clone
